Unknown

Sometimes Fielding is credited as a composer for a
certain TV-series but this is not always correct.

He may or may not have written music for the following titles.
Since I can't conform this I left them out of the filmography.

1954 Honestly, Celeste!
TV-series. 1954/1954
Theme: Jerry Fielding ??
On the show's Wikepedia-site Fielding is credited as Musical Director for the show.
Hard to believe he did because he was already blacklisted then.

1960 Stagecoach West
TV-series. 1960 / 1961
Theme: Skip Martin (music) & Terry Gilkyson (lyrics)
Music Supervisor: Hersch Burke Gilbert
The book "50 Years of the Television Western" by Ronald Jackson and Doug Abbott
credit Jerry Fielding and Hersch Burke Gilbert for the music.
A Four Star Productions series.
Fielding may have scored one of the 26 episodes.

1961 Mister Ed
TV-series. 1961 / 1966
Theme: Ray Evans & Jay Livingston
BMI gives him a credit.
According to IMDB stock music by Fielding was used in these 1961 episodes:
- #2 The Ventriloquist [1-12-61]
- #3 Busy Wife [1-19-61]
- #4 Kidd Park [1-26-61]

1961 Target: The Corruptors
TV-series. 1961 / 1962
Theme: Rudy Schrager
Music Supervisor: Hersch Burke Gilbert
Many composers worked on the show. Fielding may have scored one of the 35 episodes.

1962 Beverly Hillbillies
TV-series. 1962 / 1971
Theme: Paul Henning
BMI gives him a credit. There's no other source that conforms this.
Maybe one of Fielding's instrumental compositions or songs was used.

1965 The John Forsythe Show
TV-series. 1965 / 1966
Theme: Lyn Murray
Episodes: Lyn Murray, Jeff Alexander, Benny Carter, Sidney Fine.
IMDB says he scored an episode.
There's no other source that conforms this so I find it hard to
believe he did.

1970 Billy Jack
Feature Film. [Warner Bros.]
Music by Mundell Lowe
Billboard 17 okt, 1970: article about lyricist Hermine Hilton:
"She has just completed work on three films: "Hall of Mirrors" with Lalo Schifrin for Paramount,
"The Moonshine War" with Neil Hefti for MGM and "Billy Jack" with Jerry Fielding for 20th Century Fox."
Fielding probably left the project after it went from studio to studio.

1972 Madigan
TV-series. 1972 / 1973
Theme & episodes by Dick De Benedictis
Part of the "Wednesday Mystery Movie", season 1972 / 1973.
Only 6 episodes were made.
Fielding did not score an episode.
All episodes scored by Dick De Benedictis.

1972  | Me and the Chimp
aka: The Chimp and I
TV-series. 1972 / 1972
Theme by Charles Fox
Hard to believe he scored an episode. It's more likely someone
got this one mixed-up with an episode from "The Good Guys"
("The Chimp" aka "A Chimp named Sam") directed by Alan Rafkin
who also directed and produced episodes of "Me and the Chimp".

1973 Kojak
TV-series. 1973 / 1978
Theme 1: Billy Goldenberg (1973-1976)
Theme 2: John Cacavas (1977-1978)

Pilot and first two episodes scored by Billy Goldenberg.
Third episode scored by Kim Richmond.
All the remaning episodes scored by John Cacavas as far as I know.
(from the official John Cacavas website: "Kojak - entire series").
Hard to believe he scored an episode.
Probably someone confused it with "Kolchak".

1973 Barnaby Jones
TV-series. 1973 / 1979
Theme: Jerry Goldsmith
Fielding did not score one of the 178 episodes.

1973 The Deadly Trackers
Feature Film. [Warner Bros.]
Western directed by Barry Shear.
Tracked with music from "The Wild Bunch".
Additional music by Fred Steiner.
"The Last Tomorrow" composed by Richard Markowitz.
"Hardcase" composed by Pat(rick) Williams.

1975 Cage without a Key
TV-movie. [Columbia Pictures Television]
Drama directed by Buzz Kulik.
Fielding did not write any music for this TV-movie although some
sources (like IMDB) say he did, but Michel Legrand scored it.

1976 Special Delivery
Feature Film. [American International Pictures]
Comedy directed by Paul Wendkos
The Daily Variety announced on February the 25th 1976 that
Jerry Fielding would provide the musical score.
Replaced by Lalo Schifrin probably due his health condition at the time.

1976  Cross of Iron
Feature Film. [EMI-Films]
World War II drama directed by Sam Peckinpah.
From Nick Redman's liner notes (The Outlaw Josey Wales):
"Fielding was disqualified from scoring "Cross of Iron" by dint of his nationality.
The peculiarities of the multi-national production rendered an Amercian
composer ineligible. Ernest Gold,
Austrian-born, got the job".

ASCAP

The following titles appear in Fielding's ASCAP worklist. It's not clear to me if he was involved as a composer, an arranger or just stock-music (from other series) was used. Therefore I did not list them in the filmography.
Besides that I couldn't find any other sources that credit Fielding for these titels.

1949 Make Believe Ballroom
Feature Film. [Columbia Pictures]
Musical Director: Morris Stoloff.
Musical.
Fielding probably made some arrangements (for Jimmy Dorsey or Charlie Barnet perhaps?).
Composers listed by ASCAP: George Duning, Jerry Fielding and Frederick Maxwell Krager.

1949 The Undercover Man
Feature Film. [Columbia Pictures]
Crime / Drama.
Score by George Duning.
Musical Director: Morris Stoloff.

Fielding probably made some arrangements.

1949 Anna Lucasta
Feature Film. [Columbia Pictures]
Drama.
Score by David Diamond.
Additional music by Stephan Pasternacki & Marlin Skiles.
Musical Director: Morris Stoloff.
Drama.
Fielding probably made some arrangements.
Composers listed by ASCAP: Stephen Pasternacki, David Diamond,
Jerry Fielding, Frederick Maxwell Karger & Marlin Skiles.

1950 A Woman of Distinction
Feature Film. [Columbia Pictures]
Comedy.
Score by Werner R. Heymann.
Musical Director: Morris Stoloff.
Fielding probably made some arrangements.

1952 Member of the Wedding
Feature Film. [Columbia Pictures]
Drama.
Score by Alex North.
Fielding probably made some arrangements since all people listed
(with the exception of Alex North) were arrangers / songwriters at that time.
Composers listed by ASCAP: Paul M. Mertz, Mannie Klein, Frederick Maxwell Karger,
Jerry Fielding and George Duning.

1953 Cruisin' down the River
Feature Film. [Columbia Pictures]
Musical.
Score by George Duning (also Musical Director).
Fielding probably made some arrangements.

1970 Happy Days
TV-series. 1970 / 1970
IMDB:"This summer replacement comedy / variety show, not to be confused
with the long-running sitcom was a simultaneous parody of / homage to the 1930's.
In addition to its regular cast of comedians, each week's program feature
appearances by one of the top big bands of the era
(Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington and
Buddy Rich all appeard on the program).

1972 Man on a String
(Pilot for) TV-series. [CBS]
Pilot scored by Morton Stevens.
I guess this was a pilot for a TV-series that has never been aired.
Composers listed by ASCAP: Morton Stevens, Jerry Fielding, David Shire, Richard Shores.

1973 Call to Danger
aka: Deadly Target
(Pilot for) TV-series. [CBS]
Pilot scored by Laurence Rosenthal.
Crime drama pilot for a series that never emerged.
I guess the show was also known as (or renamed) "Deadly Target" because
ASCAP lists the same composers and publisher (Addax Music) for this title.
Composers listed by ASCAP "Call to Danger": Jerry Fielding, Richard Markowitz,
Richard Hazard and Laurence Rosenthal.
Composers listed by ASCAP "Deadly Target": Jerry Fielding, Richard Markowitz,
Richard Hazard and Laurence Rosenthal.

1973 Man on the Outside
aka: Griff
TV-series. 1973 / 1974 [ABC]
"Man on the Outside" was a pilot for a tv-series called "Griff"
(although the pilot was aired after the show was cancelled).
I guess the original name of the show was "Man on the Outside"
but later changed to "Griff". Only lasted 12 episodes.
Pilot "Man on the Outside" scored by Elliot Kaplan.
TV-series (theme) music by Pete Carpenter and Mike Post
Composers listed by ASCAP for "Griff": Elliot Kaplan, Richard Clements,
Hal Mooney and Benny Carter.
Composers listed by ASCAP for "Man on the Outside": Elliot Kaplan,
Richard Clements and Jerry Fielding.

1974 Sons and Daughters
TV-series. 1974 / 1975 [CBS]
Theme & Episodes: James Di Pasquale
Another short-lived drama series (only 13 episodes).
Composers listed by ASCAP: Hal Mooney, Richards Clements and Jerry Fielding.

1976  | Gibbsville
TV-series. 1976 / 1976 [NBC]
Theme: Leonard Rosenman
Original 13 episodes but only 6 aired.
Composers listed by ASCAP: Johnny Mandel, Jack Elliot, Jay Ferguson,
Jerry Fielding, Richard Shores and Richard Markowitz.

1976 Rich Man, Poor Man Book II
TV-series. 1976 / 1977 [ABC]
Theme: Alex North
Sequel to the mini-series "Rich Man, Poor Man" [1976].
Composers listed by ASCAP: Michael Isaacson, Benny Carter,
Hal Mooney, Jerry Fielding and Luchi de Jesus.
